Most of us recognize that we need to set goals for ourselves. Now is the time to recognize our global goals.

Our climate is changing and when we use energy, cut down trees and pollute the air in one part of the world, the other part of the world - in fact all parts of the world - are affected. The biological fabric of the planet is changing drastically, and before the planet decides to change the environment into something that eliminates human presence, we have to act.

We, at Billion News hope that a Green Global Goal song can inspire us to act as one unity rather than making sustainable knowledge an asset we have to keep within our national treasure so that our country can get rich from it. If we want to hold on to research results and know how in order to support our own nations or Companies profits in the long run - it will be too late already.		  

 

Here is what you do:

1. You compose the music. Duration 6-8 min.
2. You compose the lyrics. About 6 verses with about 6 lines in each verse.

You can choose to send in both the music and the lyrics or you can send in 1 or 2.
 

Format and address
  Lyrics Word document, PDF file.  
  Music We decide if one persons music + lyrics is the best - OR if it's best to put together 2 people's work. We might want to use 1 persons music and a 1 persons lyrics and then put them together.  
  Graphics You are welcome to send in various graphics and video footage you think could work with a Global Goal Anthem music video. This is not part of the contest - but if we use your work we will tell the world who you are.

Plan of action for the Global Goal Music Contest
  1 May 2009 We start going through the contest material.  
  1 June 2009 We decide if a single persons music and lyrics makes the best music
- OR if it's better to put 2 people's work together. We might want to use 1 persons music and a 1 persons lyrics and then put them together.		  
  1 September 2009 The winner/winners are announced.  
  1 October 2009 The winner will be portraited in a Billion News Documentary Serie and is honered at a music show that will be transmitted online at through major TV stations world wide.
